After Catechism Time with Papa tonight in bed, the kids all got a chance to say a spontaneous prayer of thanksgiving, telling Jesus what they're most thankful for right now.
In her usual fashion, M had an eloquent, beautiful prayer that would put most of us to shame.
Then on to C... her prayer was said with the utmost sincerity:
"Dear Jesus...tank you for...for...pink, I love pink! Tank you, Jesus!"
And last, but definitely NOT least, it was L's turn (as he made sure that the "ladies go first"!):
"Dear Jesus, thank you that my room is blue... and thank you for dinosaurs... I pray that you don't let the dinosaurs eat me when I get to heaven, because I really want to see them, but I definitely don't want them to eat me. Amen."
Uh...Amen.
(You have to imagine the ear-to-ear grin God has as these prayers are lifted to His ears, eh?!)
